Proteome

A gene is the basic hereditary unit of an organism. However, the gene itself cannot directly perform functions, and its function is ultimately reflected by the expressed protein. Protein is the main executor of all cell functions, and its function determines various states of human health and disease. Proteome is a science that systematically analyzes the state and function of proteins from a macro perspective, and is the core research content in the “post-genome” era. Proteome is a higher-level system biology research object than genomics, which is of great significance for in-depth understanding of the nature of life phenomena, disease pathogenesis, disease diagnosis and even drug development.

Silicon Instruments has a team of proteomics scientists with PhDs as the main body, a large-scale, high-level biological mass spectrometer cluster (Q Exactive HF-X, Orbitrap Fusion Lumos, Q Exactive Plus, Orbitrap Fusion) and a bioinformatics analysis team.
